The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has something serious to say about the alleged criminal activities going on within the Nigerian Navy. And they’re not mincing words.
In a statement that’s sure to raise some eyebrows, the NDYC is sounding the alarm on reports that implicate the Navy in some seriously shady business, like crude oil theft, diverting oil shipments, and even providing armed escorts for the criminals behind these operations.
“This is a big deal,” the statement reads. “We’re talking about the people who are supposed to be protecting our maritime resources and keeping our waterways secure. Instead, it looks like they might be the ones sabotaging our economy and undermining the efforts of the Tinubu administration.”
But the NDYC isn’t just throwing around accusations. They’re citing specific incidents, like the recent criminal case involving MT PRESTIGIOUS and MT MONTAGU on May 3rd. And they’re calling for a full-scale investigation into these allegations, with those found guilty facing the full force of the law.
“At a time when Nigerians are struggling to make ends meet, it’s unacceptable for these kinds of shenanigans to be happening right under our noses,” the statement continues. “We need answers, and we need them now.”
